Although this is an amazing plugin we are having a continuous problem with updates breaking our website.

When we do not have auto-updates enabled and Events releases an update, our site goes down completely until we update.

When we have in the past enabled the auto-updates, the update has broken our site and we’ve had to roll-back.

This mostly occurs with the paid versions and we have had to discontinue the use of The Events Calendar Pro. This is unacceptable and we are losing sales on almost every update.

  • Hey there,

Sorry to hear you’re facing this issue. Anytime your site is broken isn’t a good time, especially when it seems to be coming from the paid plugin. Let’s see what I can do to help you with this.

In general, updates should not break your site – let alone take it down completely. The only reason I see why this would happen is if there’s a version mismatch between our plugins. Sometimes our plugins rely on particular versions of each other. If there’s a mismatch, things might not work as expected.

I tried to find a ticket for this in our systems but couldn’t find it. Did you contact us about this issue? If so, could you please provide a ticket number so that I can take it from there? I’d like to get more information about the site and see how we can stop this from happening in the future.

If you’ve not contacted us about this, could you please reach out to us through our Help Desk and reference this review so that we can help you get this sorted once and for all.

    Please let me know!
