Updates doesn’t update anything!

Despite of getting an ok report after updating a couple of plugings using the new WordPress Updates (update-core.php), the actual plugins are not updated at all. I was checking the permissions of the plugins folder but they are 777, so that shouldn’t be the problem. Does anybody have some clues about this problem?
