Updates or alternatives?

My editors only want to publish simple news on websites (posts) and hate having to use the “block editor” to do so. They love the simplicity of the “Classic Editor”… but what if they want to publish something in two responsive columns?

Is this plugin still valid or would it be dangerous due to the lack of updates?

Alternatives?
