updating a post_id custom post type

    I am trying to update an existing custom post type using the post_id in my spreadsheet. After I click the import button this note appears on the page: The post id 653 is exists, but post types does not match.
    Processing “Import Page Test2” done. It creates a new custom post type instead of updating the existing post_id. Do I need to modify the plugin to make this work? Thanks, Chris

    If you want to update existing custom type post, please include post_type column in csv file. The importer checks both of csv post data and existing post data has same post type value. Because changing the type of existing post occurs unexpected error in some cases. Hope this will help you!

    Sorry, just updated the plugin for check the post type exist. Maybe you used the label of post type, but post type slug is needed.

    Thanks for your reply Takuro. You were correct, I wasn’t using the slug. The first letter in my post_id was uppercase. After I changed it to the slug it is working great!
