updating GP without childtheme

    Hi, I’am using free GP 2.2.2 together with a page builder and I have not created any child theme.
    I see there is an update for GP 2.3. and I’d like to update without losing anithing.
    Since I have added some additional CSS (just few lines), would it be possible for me to “copy” the additional CSS in my GP 2.2.2, update to the 2.3 version and then just “paste” the additional CSS?

    Hi there,

    Where did you add this CSS? If you added it in Customize > Additional CSS, you’re safe to update.

    If you made changes to the core GeneratePress files, those will be lost if you update and you’ll want to take a backup of them.
