• Hi there!

We are using this plugin for the first time and would like to know if there is a best practice for fixing links on site after a permalink has been changed. We are noticing that all of our links are breaking and not sure how to best fix.

    Thanks!

    Hi @andisites,

You mean that once you have changed the permalink, the previous permalink may broken?

    Is that so?

Thank you! Yes, we updated the permalinks, but now have 111 broken links on our site. We’re not sure why they broke or the best way to fix. We’re unsure if they will redirect automatically eventually, or if they need to be fixed manually. If manually, should we include the original URL or the URL with the new permalink?

    Thank you!

    Hi @andisites,

Sorry for the late response. Once, you have changed the Permalink you need to add the redirect manually. If the new Permalink is similar to the old Permalink and the template_redirect is enabled on your site so, it may redirect you automatically.

Let me know, if you have any other question.

    Thanks,
    Sami
