Hello,
If you are willing to re-enter your settings again, you could try Advanced Tools >> Wipe settings and then retesting this.
@pbevanudp it did not help 🙁 Any other idea? Thank you!
Hello,
It may be due to a plugin conflict. I would recommend performing a test by temporarily deactivating all other plugins and seeing if the issue resolves itself. If it does then you can activate the plugins again one by one to determine the cause.
If not, please could you open your browser Developer Tools and then retry the process. Do any errors appear in the console?
I cannot disable plugins due to its a prod environment but I will try in a staging one in the future. The debugger does not show any error or warning during the load or save.
Hi,
What is the version number of UpdraftPlus ?
I think its the latest one: 1.23.16
Have you entered your email address. I notice on my install that this happens if I haven’t entered an email.
HI, yes. Its filled by default with the wordpress admin email.
Hello,
Have you tried the plugin conflict test as of yet on your staging environment?
Not yet. I will in the future when I will have time. Not that urgent… Thank you!
Hi, it is a plugin conflict with WP-Optimize and/or Wordfence since I have added these plugins to another site and the issue came up there as well. Hopefully at least it is going to send email if the backup failed. 🙂

I have the same issue. It is Wordfence that appears to be conflicting. Deactivating it allows me to save the email selection but when I reactivate Wordfence, the tick box goes back to unticked and I can’t successfully save it selected.
How do I request UpdraftPlus to fix this issue?
Edit: Forget to say that I am running the latest version of the two plugins, UpdraftPlus 1.23.16 and Wordfence 7.11.1
