We are receiving this captcha issue when trying to backup to our box account via updraft.

I have followed the request and logged in to box in a seperate browser window whilst attempting to backup but it made no difference and cannot find any captcha.

    Any help please 🙂

Here is the screenshot of the error prompt:

    Hi,

You’d need to ask box.com support to confirm, but presumably they’re doing something like requiring you to log in from the same IP address as the webserver. If that’s so, then logging in from your browser on your personal computer won’t work, since that’s a different machine. Though, if they are requiring that, then it suggests that they don’t want connections from servers, only from personal computers. In any case, you’ll want to ask their support channels in order to find out exactly what the requirement is.

N.B. To be clear: that’s not UpdraftPlus asking you for a captcha. That’s an error message from box.com : *they* are asking you for a captcha. But captchas are no part of the FTP protocol, so, you’ll need to ask them precisely what it is you’re meant to do in order to authorise your webserver to connect to their FTP service.
