UpdraftPlus will not complete back-up

Hello!

I need help with an issue. I’m not big on the ins and outs of WP and it’s back-end coding, HTML, and all that. I went to go back up my website and for some reason after 3 tries it just stops mid-way and won’t continue, forcing me to abort the backup.

I’ve already tried switching down to 50MB to see if that would break up the process a bit more, but it did not seem to help at all and I’m still not having a successful back-up.

Any help would be appreciated!

Hi,

Please could you send us a copy of the latest backup log? This can be found in the UpdraftPlus Existing Backups tab.
The contents will be too long to post here directly, but you can use an online service such as Dropbox or Pastebin, and post the link here.

Hi,

Could you try to reduce the backup archive split size to 25Mb, save your settings and run a new process?

If the issue persists, please ask your hosts/server admin to investigate their PHP error logs. These logs should contain more information on the exact issue that is causing the backup process to halt.

I’m having the same problem. Reduced the size to 50 then 25mb. I did get one successful backup, but it took 3 days to complete. I haven’t gotten a successful backup since then. Here is a link to my log file:

@tiggertygr Try switching to a different zip engine by putting this after the opening lines of your wp-config.php:

define('UPDRAFTPLUS_NO_BINZIP', true);
