I was having problems with my middle column and right sidebar not showing up or only partially loading, so after I couldn’t figure it out I decided to upgrade to 2.3 to see if that would help.

I uploaded the new files, but when I went to the upgrade page I received an error which I believe is stemming from either my theme (wp-andreas01-12) or a category plugin (category_vis-rh.php). The site looked fine, except the posts were missing the categories.

After re-ftping the files again, the upgrade page came up blank, along with every other page I tried.

I went through the forums looking for a possible fix and decided the best thing to do was restore the older version of WP. Used PHPMyAdmin, followed the directions from WP, everything went smooth, but I still have nothing showing up on any of my pages.

I’ve been looking at this for hours…help!

Ok, I was able to restore the database….which leaves me with the same problem again.

The middle column is gone and the right sidebar is occasionally loading but only part of the way.

Sometimes it loads to the events header, sometimes to the categories header and sometimes in the middle of an event.

What happens if you switch to another theme like the default or classic?

looks fine in both default and classic

Which means it is a theme issue.

I re-uploaded the same theme and had the same issue. So I disabled Category Visibility-RH Rev plugin and that seemed to work.

This missing sidebar problem came out of nowhere today, so I don’t think it was an issue with the theme.
