upgrade from wp2.0.4

Hi

My wife gas a longstanding and active blog on wp version 2.0.4

Its now time t upgrade to version 2.8 perhaps to take advantage of newer facilities

Is it possible to upgrade so that she doesn’t loose years of posts/comments?

I see the 2.8 import wxr facility but no such export in 2.0.4…….

I tried sql import from old to new – but it failed as database structure is different
