Do you see an option to import the settings at the end of the “Settings” Easing Slider admin panel?

Thank you for the quick reply. No I don’t see that options in the settings admin panel.

Ok. Could you give the development version of the plugin a try? Some changes to the legacy settings system have been made. You can download it here.

Once installed try checking for the import settings field again.

Hello, when I try to install the development version it’s telling me destination folder already exists, installation failed.

Uninstall the current version you have installed of Easing Slider before installing the development version.

okay, if I uninstall it though wouldn’t it delete the slides etc, I had previously. Thanks!

Yes, but I thought you wanted to import your old settings from v1?

If you’d rather just re-create the slideshow, there is no point in doing any of this.

Sorry for the misunderstanding. Yes, I do want to import my old settings and slides from v1. So if uninstalled the upgrade and it would delete those how I could I then still import them?

Uninstalling won’t delete your v1 settings, only v2 settings. So regardless of what you do with v2, you will always still have access to your v1 settings.

Thank you for all the information. With the developer version I was able to import the settings. When I go to edit slideshow I now see my slides. However, when I click on the slides, or the buttons on the right like Transition etc. nothing happens. And my website the slides have a different format. The nice format with the shadow is gone. Thanks in advance for your help.

Would it be possible to provide me with admin access to the site? I can check the Easing Slider admin panels for errors for you. My email is [email protected] if you want to email the details to me there.

Going to mark this as resolved as we’ve been corresponding via email 🙂

This worked for me. After downloading and installing the zip file Matthew linked at the beginning of this thread, I had a yellow highlighted notice at the top that reminded me to import pre-existing settings. When I clicked that, I landed on my slideshow’s settings page with the big blue button to import settings.

That’s the correct procedure @excanuck407, glad it all went accordingly 🙂
