Just went to http://therapistwithbipolar.com and got the following messages: Must have really goofed this time. Can I just wipe out this through the cPanel and start over?
Warning: require(./wp-blog-header.php) [function.require]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/ebooksby/public_html/therapistwithbipolar.com/index.php on line 4
Fatal error: require() [function.require]: Failed opening required ‘./wp-blog-header.php’ (include_path=’.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php’) in /home/ebooksby/public_html/therapistwithbipolar.com/index.php on line 4
youre over-reacting 🙂 The error you see is telling you that you need to upload wp-blog-header.php
http://therapistwithbipolar.com/wp-blog-header.php
its not there.
grab the zip, unpack it, use your trusty ftp client and upload that file.
chances are you missed others by the way, but you wont know until that one is there.
Thanks, off to try, will let you know.
Well, I’m back. Next error:
The requested URL /wp-admin/upgrade.php does not exist.
When I first began, I put my first blog on .com http://parentingonthelevel.com/blog is it now after a friend transferred it to my hosting. I haven’t touched that one but it needs to be upgraded.
If I go to http://www.Wordpress.com and type my password and user name, both of my blogs show up. Are they supposed to do that?
Because I had installed http://therapistwithbipolar.com directly in to that subdirectory (this is a subdirectory but the browser points directly to it), there were more folders and files under public_html/therapistwithbipolar than were listed on the upgrade. I left them alone.
There were also files in the upgrade that weren’t in the blog previously, I just uploading them.
Any suggestions as to what next?
yeap .. thats another missing file.
you are confusing issues.. your blog or blogs hosted on wordpress.com have nothing to do with blogs that you can access via FTP.
If you see them there, that just means that your account is still active.
Now, back to the file thing .. you havent uploaded all of the files.
Back to the zip, unpack it, notice that there are directories created, and files within those directories, and in some cases, even more directories.
You need to upload the files the same way they are in the zip — maintaining the structure of those directories. Without doing that, any install attmept is going to end in futility.
Thanks you for your help. Can I just overwrite everything that I did last night. If it was a folder I uploaded it complete. If it was a file, I uploaded about ten at a time going down the line. Must have goofed somehow.
