We have started having a problem with all of our upgraded 4.8 client sites after the upgrade. Everything was running fine until we upgraded to 4.8. Now the WordPress Settings don’t seem to recognize the s under siteurl and home in the database. When we view the URLs under Settings, they’re showing up as http (see below). This is happening to all client sites that are using an SSL.

We are using Cloudflare to create a redirect for HTTP > HTTPS.

Has anyone else experienced this? Does anyone have any insight as to why this might be happening?

We’ve updated all URLs, GUIDs, etc. Because of the missing https in the site settings, it’s pulling in http for all CMS assets, the login form, and anything else that utilized the siteurl in the database.

    URLs blurred for client privacy:

    Wordpress Settings:

    Database URLs:

    Have you tried:
Flushing any caching plugins you might be running, as well as server and/or browser caches. Not just your browser, but any op cache or content network cache as well such as Cloudflare. If you are using SiteLock, manage your caching there.
Flushing Managed host caches. Managed WP hosting often has special caches. If your host has a “Purge Varnish” or “Flush Memcache” tool, try that. You can ask your provider to flush memcache and Varnish for you if necessary.

We have cleared Cloudflare cache and Pantheon caches. We aren’t using any caching plugins. WordPress Pantheon Page Cache has been cleared.

    Update:

My coworker found a solution. We followed the instructions here and it fixed our problem.
