Upgrading automatically?

    Problems with automatic upgrade, I guess. But I did know of any automatic option.

    I have three blogs, all in the same hosting package, all the same wordpress version. 2.7

    I can see on two blog that 2.7.1 is available. The third blog though is updating automatically, I guess…

    Today I checked my Analytics before opening the site and saw that traffic is 0. So, I wondered what was wrong with Analytics. Only after I went to the site, I found that nothing is there.

    A box popped up asking to “save or open” and I chose open. That is when I got to a notepad file that said something about WordPress upgrade.

    I can’t open my site http://www.withoutdash.com and I can’t open the wp-admin either. The site has been down for over 15 hours now and I need to get it up and running ASAP!!

    I don’t know if the wordpress upgrade went wrong or got stuck. I can’t access the Dashboard.

    Please… do not tell me to upload the old version all over again…!

    I don’t know what I did. I went into PHPmyadmin to force an database upgrade and also FTP to delete plugins.

    And my site is back.

    Not sure what happened. Not sure how it got fixed. So, I can’t help others with the same problem.
    My site was down for 17 hours and is back again.
