    Hi everyone,

I’ve been searching for an answer everywhere but couldn’t find what I was looking for. I really hope someone can help me with this.
I’m trying to upgrade a multi site manually cause my system is read only. It says everywhere that I should disable ALL plugins before to prevent plugins disturb the upgrade. Is that a must? The thing is I have plugins that are network enabled and others that are site specific enabled. To keep a record of what was enabled before the upgrade would be a nightmare, wouldn’t it? What should I do? How do other people approach this?

    Thanks a bunch!
    A

  • Have a look here:

That plugin will export a list of plugins/themes and tell you where they are activated (network or single). You can keep that for reference and reactivate as needed after the manual update of WP.

Thanks for the response. So that is one option, is there any other? Its not so convenient since you still have to go and manually enable plugins on every sub domain right? What if you have hundreds of them?

Yeah, I understand and realize it’s not the best thing but was something. You could always grab the active plugins list from your DB and then put it back in place after updates…
