    Honestly, there’s not really much to it other than just diving into the task.

    I’d recommend standard tips: back up the database, backup the plugin files, try it on a dev clone of the site first to see what breaks, and if anything does, work out how to prevent or fix the issues, etc.

    The biggest thing to keep in mind is that we switched the option keys that get used for the plugin, and you may need to flush your permalinks right away. The old options key/value pairs get left behind, and not removed, in case you need to revert again for some reason.
