Upgrading User or adding new user

    Hi guys,
    I hope I’m in the right place. Apologies if not.

    I have WordPress 4.7 installed on my site http://www.claretandblues.com.

    When I try to upgrade a user from say ‘Editor’ to ‘Administrator’ the page just crashes and times out. I get a 408 error message. the same thing happens if I click the ‘Administrators’ link in USERS. Also it won’t let me add new users. Any ideas why?

    I have disabled all plugins and re-installed WordPress and tried again, all to no avail.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Check with your host and ask if they’re running mod_security and ask them to check their logs to see if you’re running into some mod_security rule.
