    Hi,

I’m sure this was asked before but I can’t find any reference to it. I’m trying to manually upgrade a wordpress multisite and I know I have to deactivate all plugins first. To do so I’ve renamed the plugins folder but then after the upgrade all my plugins are deactivated and I don’t know which one are suppose to be active or not on all my sub-sites. How do I do an upgrade but keep my plugins at their previous state after the upgrade?

    Thanks!

Prior to doing the upgrade, go to “Plugins” at your Dashboard and select “Active” to sort the running ones from the inactive ones, then check the necessary boxes to select and deactivate all activated plugins. Then after you have completed your upgrade, go back to “Plugins” and select “Recently Active” and activate only those. I do not know how often those lists dates are updated, but the above works for me unless I had recently deactivated one or more plugins for some other reason not long before doing the above.
