Upload file permission

    Dear Xnau,
    Is there anyway to set permissions of upload files (of members) such that only approved members can read? At the moment, with the permission 644 (on file) and 755 (on upload folder), all files are public and can be search via Google!!!!!

    Hi Sondo,

    Yes, the uploaded files are public.

    However, WordPress user access is not related to the file and directory permissions, this is controlled by the WP application. You can define where your uploaded files are stored in the plugin settings, but it will be up to you to figure out how to manage access to those files. If you set the permissions on those files to be non-public, even your registered users won’t be able to access them, you need to use another method to secure them.
