    Hi!

I saw that topic before but I’m having trouble fixing the problem with my employer’s WP version (4.2).

I get the following message : Upload folder is not writable. Export and file upload features will not be functional.

I have the Gravity Forms plugin and when I uninstall it the message disappears. I want to go change the upload path in my settings but I can’t find it in my dashboard.

What can I do to change the upload path with my WP version? TY

    1. Why do you want to change the upload path from the default, wp-content/uploads?

    2. You can. See https://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-change-the-default-media-upload-location-in-wordpress-3-5/

    3. Assuming you’re still uploading to the default location, what is the ownership and permissions of wp-content/uploads?

    4. WordPress 4.2 is years out of date.

    1. Hi! No I don’t want to change it I want to make sure it’s set right to wp-content/uploads.

    4. I know it’s been difficult to work with this version but updates have been tried by previous employees and stuff broke and it’s a big site. They will redo it soon I think.

    2. Thank you for the link I will check it out

    3. I don’t have access to the phpmyadmin, it’s on the host side, should I ask them or there is a way for me to check without phpmyadmin?

    Thank you

PHPMYADMIN has nothing to do with this. Check ownership and permissions via FTP, command line, or your hosting control panel.
