Hi, I´m trying to make an Android App to show my Nextgen gallery Pictures, and now I need to let users upload his own pics.

On my site i´ve using with success Nextgen public uploader for a while, and I´m thinking that there should be a URL where I can submit my regular HTTP Multipart Request from Android device to upload it to my server.

It´s possible on current plugin functionality?, or may I need to tune it to allow this?.

Thanks, all help will be appreciate.

Very likely not possible with the current version, and I’m not sure at the moment how to create an endpoint for smartphone app usage. If there’s something similar in NextGEN core code, then it’s possible we could extend it, I just don’t know the core plugin well offhand.

Finally I made some changes to plugin and now i´m able to do the file uploading from my Android APP.

Contact me if you want details. The main problem is the nonce key, but I managed a way to keep it in some cases and require another passphrase when uploading from app… it´s vulnerable to man in the middle attack, but if no one interecept the request I guest it could be safe enought.

    Thanks for your great work.
