I can confirm this issue at least since updating Events Manager to 6.6.4.4.
In the settings of Events Manager there is a new setting called “allowed extensions”. The help text for this setting says:
Comma-separated list of allowed file extensions: gif, jpg,[..] odp. Leave blank to allow any.
But if you leave the setting blank, no file type at all is accepted, instead showing the error message posted by @jviseur .
As a workaround for now i listed all possible expected file type extensions for my use case.
Same here. Leave blank to allow any does not work as suggested, regardless the setting ‘Any type’ or ‘Image’. Front-end upload stopped working and contributors get an error message ‘Error during upload’ in a microscopic font.
I only got it back to work by adding jpg, png to allowed extensions. Unfortunately I cannot allow webp and avif, even though these file types work fine in EM if I add them later as admin.
Where is this setting located? I searched everywhere but couldn’t find it. And now I feel somewhere between slightly dumb and quite unhappy.
EDIT : Ah! Geez! On a multisite install: Network Admin > Events Manager > Uploads
(Now feeling less dumb and much happier!)
