uploading files fails with security plugin enabled

when I have ithemes security or bullet proof security enabled the files will not upload and I get a Error -200: HTTP Error.

I first thought it was just ithemes security then I deactivated that and tried bullet proof security and the same error occurs.

if I disable the security plugin the files upload fine.

I need to have one of these security plugins enabled and they are very popular and widely used with over i million downloads.

How can i fix this issue?
