Uploading New WordPress Site

Hi Guys,

I have a WordPress hosting account I have setup with a Hosting Provider, WordPress/ cPanel etc is all installed ready to go. I had a Developer create a small custom WordPress site for us and he has sent me two zipped files – the website files and the Database files. All good.

What I would like to know is the best way of uploading/installing these files to ensure they get installed correctly. I’ve done a very few Joomla/SilverStripe etc uploads many years ago but its been a while 😉 I’m thinking it’s a matter of just uploading/unpacking the website files to the root html folder and then doing a database restore in cpanel?

Any hints/tips is appreciated – first time I’ve had to do it for WordPress
