    Hi There,

I’m doing a project with a quite a few custom fields and a lot of items that need to be uploaded via excel.

At the moment if I include these in my spreadsheet I get an error message:

You have a column which is not recognized: size.
Please make sure that the column names match the product field labels exactly.

Is there no functionality for custom fields to be uploaded and if not, when can this be added?

    Thanks for your help.

    Hi,

We’re looking to add Custom Fields to the fields that can be uploaded via spreadsheet. Should be available at the beginning of July.

    Hi again,

Do you know when this feature will be incorporated, I am really keen to start uploading custom fields into my database.

    Hi jmobbs,

This should be possible as of version 2.3. There’s a lot of different potential custom field types, names, etc. so if this isn’t working for you, please let me know.

Hey, I tested it again and I’ve tried various custom field names (simple one word text names) and then had basic contents with field set to short text and when I upload the excel sheet it doesn’t work, no error message but no data uploaded.

If I remove the column for the custom field and upload then it all works fine, it is just the custom fields I can’t get to upload.

    Hi jmobbs,

We’ll take a look this weekend, and post an update if there’s something that’s not working as expected, or advise otherwise on what the issue might be.

I’ve tested this again, on two separate installations, and also with the latest version of the plug in.

I created a custom field called ‘Test’ and another called ‘Info’ on the second installation.

Data within these fields I tested included ‘Test 1’, ‘Something’ and ‘Seven’

I’ve tried with the field type as Short Text, Integer and Text Area.

For all options on the above, the data for all the usual fields is imported, but not the custom fields.

Would really appreciate some advise on this as I really need to get this working.

Can you send your file and a screenshot of the “Custom Fields” page to [email protected]?
