I run WordPress 2.0 on Bluehost. I did the following:
1) Download WordPress from the mother site.
2) Create a database using MySQL (db name, user, password)
3) Edit the sample install script, save as config.
4) Upload the whole shabang to my domain.
5) Run the php install as outlined in the README file.
6) Answer some questions and login.
7) Start blogging with WP.

Use a real ftp client:
http://filezilla.sourceforge.net/
Put the files just inside ‘public_html’ if you want people to see your blog at http://www.example.com
or
if you want them to see your blog at http://www.example.com/blog then make a directory called ‘blog’ and put it all in there.
Once you have uploaded, Bluehost use cpanel:
http://www.tamba2.org.uk/wordpress/cpanel/
when i use the ftp to upload where should i be putting it. I don’t see a folder labeled my domain. does it automatically go there? sorry if i’m sounding stupid.
Your domain probably means the folder “public_html” (as Podz stated above) or “www” or “htdocs” – depending on the server setup.
On Bluehost yourdomain.com points to public_html/. This information should have been provided by Bluehost when you signed-up. As previously mentioned, find a decent ftp application and you should be all set.
