I installed your plugin because I have the need to use external images for CERTAIN products in woocommerce. It is absolutely essential that I be able to continue to use the defualt woocommerce featured image functionality for some products AND have the ability to use external URLs for other products.

After installing your plugin, I immediately noticed that the default Woocommerce featured image block (in the right column of a ‘edit product’ page) has been replaced in its entirety by your plugin’s version of the featured product image block. However, now there is no provision to use the original default woocommerce functionality (choose featured image from gallery).

Understanding that your plugin does not offer the ability to use EITHER/OR, I ran “FIFU Settings > Metadata > Clean Metadata” and deactivated your plugin.

Now, I have no featured image functionality whatsoever. The Woocommerce default featured image block (in the right column of a ‘edit product’ page) is missing.

    Please advise.

    Hi, @circlex.

FIFU doesn’t remove the field for local images. As you said, even with FIFU disabled, you don’t see the field. So it’s not FIFU that’s causing that. Maybe you just have disabled that accidentally. Do you know how to enable and disable meta boxes in the editor?

So as we have talked, the regular featured image field was there all the time. You just moved that to another position.
