    Hello all,

    I’m in need of urgent help to understand how I can regain access to my website. I’ve been live for one week and figured out I needed to be compliant for GDPR. I have installed the compliance plugin, ran through the wizard to set everything up, and once I confirmed the settings, I get everywhere on my page connection timed out.

    With down detector it detects my website is ‘live’. The error I get on all the pages including the WP-admin:

    The connection has timed out

    An error occurred during a connection to http://www.cryptoknowhow.xyz.

    Now I understand if there are more plugins, probably some are conflicting. So I followed some instructions to disable all the plugins. However, I cannot SFTP to my server too (not anymore, last week I could), but when I login to my hoster, I can access it through their interface. Here I renamed my plugin folder to plugin.bak in the hope everything would be disabled, but unfortunately I’m still no closer to being able to login.
    The error message I get when I SFTP is the same: Connection timed out.

    Are there any additional things I can try? I’m only live for a week and just requested google to crawl 🙁 I’m so stupid 🙁

    Plugins I already had installed: Clearfy, copy-code, google site kit, headers security advanced hsts, insert code to headers and footers, 2FA miniorange, mobile menu, quiz maker, relevanssi, shared-counts, wccp-pro (copy content protection), wp-fastest-cache,wp-meta-and-date-remover, wpforms.

    I feel so lost and defeat and want to thank anyone who is able to help me out.

    Managed to get back in, deleted the plugin. Went for an alternative.

    Sorry for my late reply, I had given up and let it rest for a bit. However, yesterday I was back at it. =)

    I’ve managed to get the consent banner working and the documents have all been generated and linked.
    But now the problem comes, whenever I try to just change ONE setting in the tab ‘ Consent banner ‘ the website completely crashes and I get time outs. I then have to rename the folder plugins to plugins.bak and after 10 minutes I can get in again. The settings of the plugin upon reactivation are then back to the default values in the tab ‘ Consent banner ‘. Screenshot to clarify:

    Whenever I change anything under General, Appearance, Colors, Texts, it crashes.

    I have setup the Consent for all regions, so every region specific gets a slightly different consent banner linked to privacy and cookie policy of the respective location.

    My goal: Get the cookie banner in my same house style as the website. The colors I want to use allow clear visibility.
