After the customer makes a payment in my store, the order status changes directly to “Completed” without going through the “Processing” stage.

I sell virtual downloadable products, so the order should first go to “Processing”, not “Completed”.

It should only change to “Completed” if there is a downloadable product available; otherwise, it should remain in “Processing”.

The issue is that the order is going directly to “Completed”, and some customers have reported that they did not receive the product.

I’m using the official plugin from the platform — Pagar.me.

Thank you for reaching out and providing a detailed explanation of your request. To clarify, for virtual products, orders automatically move to Completed and skip Processing because they do not require shipping or handling. This is the default behavior, not a bug or issue.
If you want virtual products to remain in Processing, you would need to implement a custom code solution. Since this involves customization, we recommend consulting an expert, as it falls outside the scope of support we can provide.

Hi there!
Thank you for sharing the System Status Report. I’ve checked it, and everything appears to be fine. However, I noticed that you’re using multiple plugins on your site, and I suspect that one of them might be causing the issue.
Also, sorry for any confusion earlier. I tried replicating the issue on my end, and I can confirm that virtual products do not move to “Completed” status by default — they normally appear under the “Processing” status.
Since you mentioned that some orders are being completed automatically, could you please share a screenshot of the affected order notes where the order was automatically marked as completed? You can use the following tool for screenshot:https://snipboard.io
Additionally, could you please provide more details about the type of virtual product you’re selling and how customers receive it after placing an order?
In the meantime, please create a staging site, deactivate all plugins except WooCommerce, and try placing an order to see if the issue persists (i.e., orders still change to “Completed” automatically, or the product isn’t delivered as expected).
