• It was a excellent plugin. I encourage everyone to look for another alternative. Each new update is developed to lose features and you pay for the version pro.

    There is not intelligent back to previous version. We need a plugin to add features or to stay with the standard features, and not remove them !!

    Caution: This is the beginning of a death foretold.

  • It’s really easy to go back to the working version (2.3.5) of this plugin. Download that version. Rename the existing plugin (in FTP) to something like ‘wordpress-seo-OLD’ and upload the working version. And, voila, it’s working like before.
    Alternatively, use the WP Rollback plug-in.

    @frizzel,

    The problem here is that we stayed without new updates through time. And say me: The version 2.3.5 work with wordpress 4.4?

    Thank you very much and waiting for you reply.

    @ruffo Do I understand it right you didn’t upgrade the plug-in? Well, then there’s no problem at all. And yes, 2.3.5 works with WP 4.4

    The problem of course is that Yoast SEO is then no longer updated, so an alternative might be to use SEO Data Transporter and switch to All In One SEO (but check all the settings carefully).

    @frizzel,

    Thank you for you reply. We are returning to the version 2.3.5. The latest version of Yoast plugin has destroyed our positioning.

    Again: @yoast DON’T BE EVIL !

    @frizzel,

    All our position in the Google serps DROP when we update to the latest version, and broke all our keywords. The result was our visitors drop.

    I hope this helps all disappointed with this plugin: You can revert to Version 2.3.5

    Our experience after returning to version 2.3.5: We increased our traffic by 30% …it’s not perfect but work.

    Thank you very much!

    Hi @ruffo,

    Almost a year has passed since your review. Are you still using our plugin? If not, we’ve made a ton of changes to Yoast SEO and would like to invite you to give the plugin a new try.

    If you want to learn more about the plugin before installing it, we feel our knowledge base is the best place to start.

    Thanks!
