URL double content

First at all, it’s a great plug-in to use! I use this plug-in for a long time and I didn’t want to change it for another plug-in!! But I got a question about Polylang.

At my website I got two language, Dutch (default) and English (second). When I create a double page, for example the sitemap, there will be add a 2 behind the url. For example: http://www.domain.com/sitemap and by the English: http://www.domain.com/en/sitemap-2/.

Is there any solution to resolve this? That I can get: http://www.domain.com/sitemap and http://www.domain.com/en/sitemap

Or isn’t it possible to fix this issue?
