URL formatting different using Checkboxes

    This pugin does exactly what it promises (and more), but I’m curious what could be reason for this: I noticed that when using the widget with the Checkboxes option, the URL is formatted this way:

    www.mybaseurl.com/?qmt%5Btaxonomyname%5D%5B%5D=13

    whilst using any of the other options, the url looks like this:

    www.mybaseurl.com/?taxonomyname=term

    The last one being the one I expected on checkboxes also.

    Changing the url manually while using the Checkboxes works though, and on the result page the correct boxes are checked too.
