Hello,
If you have an image optimization plugin with lazy-load feature, you can disable it for the time being and re-enable it if you are ready to go live.
The lazy-load feature causes the background image not to show up.

Hello, I have no image plugins. However I have uninstalled it together with 5 more plugins today… none of them was satisfying me with regards to self-hosted image. ;(
By the way, do you know how to fully delete any data of this plugin? Because I have installed it twice and discovered that it stored my previous data somewhere.
Hello,
Can you share with us the site URL?

site is completely under maintenance… but you can see this page, that has the image I was trying to load
@arsenalemusica
Is the Coming Soon plugin enabled? It seems to be not enabled on the site that you have provided.

no, I told you I uninstalled it…. sorry, I published this thread before uninstalling it
I’m now trying to build a page without plugins
@arsenalemusica Please let us know if you have installed and activated the plugin so we can check why the background image is not displaying.
Thanks,

I have tested again and have manually inserted the URL. It is working like that, but you might investigate if other users have the same problem, i.e. loading custom URL from media library is not working. Thank you for your time.

@arsenalemusica Thank you for the update.
You need to use the Link to Media File for the image to work.
