URL results not consistent

    I have not upgraded to Pro yet.

    I am testing a url from amazon for biblical fiction, but the post page shows biblical fiction and bibles and other things! I went thru the original url pages again just to make sure I had not made a mistake. Sure enough, it was just biblical fiction.

    Why are these other item being injected if the plugin is just inputting what the url gives it? I tried a url for office gifts and got bbq’s too.

    Hi there,

    The URL unit type analyses the specified page source code and extract found Amazon products. So if the page you specified contains more than one items, those items will be listed.

    Consider a page that renews regularly with multiple products. The URL unit checks the page and its contents with the set interval (cache duration) and updates the unit products automatically. It eliminates your repetitive manual tasks of checking the updated products in the specified page. This is when the URL unit type becomes handy.

    Sounds like you only want to show a single item. In that case, try the Item Look-up unit type by going to Dashboard -> Amazon Auto Links -> Add Unit by Search. In the following page, select Item Look-up option and proceed. Enter the ASIN of your choosing product. Usually the product page URL contains ASIN so you may pasted the URL in the Item ID field. The plugin will detect it for you.
