I assume you have “AND” as the default operator in Relevanssi searching settings? If your post doesn’t mention “http” or “https”, it can’t be found. The solution is simple: add “http”, “https” and “www” to the stopwords in Relevanssi settings. That should fix this.
That did not work. I added https:// as a stop word and then tried to search for https://yahoo.com, it did not show the post which has a title as yahoo.com. I also tried to add simply https and did the same search to no effect. Yet simply searching yahoo.com shows the post.
Adding “https://” does not work, that’s for sure (because Relevanssi removes the “://” automatically). I tried this on my test site, and adding “https”, “http”, and “www” did the trick. So, what kind of settings are you using? Have you modified Relevanssi indexing settings? What search settings do you use?
Didn’t work for me. I added https, http and www separately. Even re-indexed the search, which I read wasn’t necessary for stop words to work. 🙁
Can I e-mail you the website url and what I am trying to search, so you can see what I mean? I don’t want to publicly post it here.
Private email support is for Relevanssi Premium customers only.
Can you please tell me your Relevanssi searching settings? The relevant parts are the default operator and keyword matching. Also look at the Yahoo.com post with the Relevanssi debugger and tell me how it appears there.
