explain the case clearly, please
I had installed WordPress on localhost and everything was working fine with Mamp Pro and I was able to work on my website.
I was using the trial of Mamp Pro. When it expired I purchased a license key. Mamp Pro is still working fine, but when i type in localhost in browser, only the home page comes up without the header or css styling.
When I type in localhost/wp-admin i get the message “Not Found The requested URL /wordpress/wp-admin/ was not found on this server”.
I can no longer access the wordpress admin panel.
I am using Mac OSX10.7 and current WordPress Version.
IIRC, Free MAMP has the files in /Applications/MAMP/htdocs – Doesn’t mampPRO have them in /Applications/MAMP Pro/htdocs
Are the files in the right folders?
As far as I can see, the files still go in /Applications/MAMP/htdocs.
Mamp Pro only contains the Mamp Pro icon to open the program, there are no other files that I can see except “Uninstaller”.
I was running the free trial of Mamp Pro which as far as I know uses the files in /Applications/MAMP/htdocs.
Any other suggestions?
I have now found a http.conf file under MAMP Pro/Content/Resources.
Does this file stay in that folder?
I still can’t get it to work.
I really need some help please. Here’s a recap. I was using the trial of Mamp Pro and had installed WordPress and everything was working fine. When it expired I purchased a license key, and since then when i type in localhost in browser, only the home page comes up without the header or css styling.
When I type in localhost/wp-admin i get the message “Not Found The requested URL /wordpress/wp-admin/ was not found on this server”.
I can no longer access the wordpress admin panel.
I have now found a http.conf file under MAMP Pro/Content/Resources, but not sure what to do with it.
I am using Mac OSX10.7 and current WordPress Version.
Does anyone know if I should move my wordpress file somewhere else, or what to do with the http.conf file that is in Mamp Pro?
Here is the Apache error I get.
Applications/MAMP/htdocs/wordpress/wordpress, referer: http://localhost/
[Tue Oct 25 21:54:32 2011] [error] [client ::1] File does not exist: /Applications/MAMP/htdocs/wordpress/wordpress
[Tue Oct 25 22:00:32 2011] [error] [client ::1] File does not exist: /Applications/MAMP/htdocs/wordpress/wordpress
Uh. Well that’s a good pointer there:
/Applications/MAMP/htdocs/wordpress/wordpress
Two WordPress folders? Is that the right location?
