Hi,

Is there any change I can make to the php so instead of post excerpt it gives me the meta description of the post/page?

What do you mean by “meta description”?

Ah, you mean the HTML meta tag. The meta description is generally generated automatically by the theme or by a third-party plugin such as All-in-one SEO pack, so there’s no way to retrieve it.

If you need to customize the post excerpt, use the excerpt field on the Edit Post/Page screen.
