When you register an account with ShareThis you get the benefit of being able to link multiple sites to one button config for easy development from local to production sites.
Also you can enable multiple ShareThis products with the same account so your choices will also carry to other sites you log your plugins into.
ShareThis also has a proprietary share api that allows you to have the most accurate share counts which are linked to the registered account / domain.
Lastly you can take advantage of our informative newsletters to help maximize your site’s marketing potential.
You cannot use this plugin without a registered account for the above reasons.
