Use "Read More" Function on FAQ

I am using the FAQ Manager Plugin to write all of my FAQ questions. I created pages and used FAQ shortcode to display certain FAQ topics, e.g., http://touthelp.wpengine.com/general-user/general-user-faq/
The issue I am having is that when you click on the FAQ question to expand it, it shows the entire FAQ copy (with the “read more” link at the bottom).
I insert the “read more” tag further up within each of the FAQ posts, but it still displays the entire content.
Do you know how to get this function to work?
A few other notes that may be relevant:
– Under General Settings > Reading: “For each article in a feed,” –> “Summary” is selected
– Under FAQ Settings > “Include Permalink beneath expanded text” is selected.
