    Hi I have created a user (another administror) and locked down pretty much everything apart from they can create/modify pages

    When I log in as them and go to pages there is a link which says Access, from there they can go into your control panel and change permissions and also change permissions to my login too.

    Is there a way to disable this

  • Hi there,

    Yes, you can do so by either changing the default AAM access capability or creating a new user role that inherits capabilities from Administrator role and assign your user that new role. Details below.

    Scenario 1. Changing default AAM access capability.

    Default capability for AAM is administrator. Each user that is in Administrator role has access to AAM but this can be changed by utilizing ConfigPress plugin. With few simple configurations, you can change AAM behavior and there are steps:
    a) Create new capability, as example, aam_manager;
    b) Make sure that it is checked for your admin user;
    c) Download and install ConfigPress plugin;
    d) Go to Settings->ConfigPress and enter next configurations:

    [aam]
    page.capability = "aam_manager"

    Scenario 2. New role similar to Administrator.
    Create a new role that inherits capabilities from Administrator role and read this thread.
