    Hello,

I have installed the plugin to my wordpress, and it seems to be functioning correctly. However, I have noticed that anyone who is logged in can access the site as normal. As my site is an e-commerce site, users register an account which allows them access to purchased downloads through their control panel. However, during maintenance, I want to be able to stop them from being able to access the site, or at least, when they do log in, I want them to see the same as any visitor (the maintenance page only). Currently, when they log in, they are able to access the site as normal. Ideally, I’d like it so that switching to maintenance mode (or coming soon mode) only allows Administrators to see the full site. Is this functionality available already, and i’m just missing something?

    Cheers

    Tom

Ok thank you, sounds good. It’s made me think though… If i wanted to have the following setup, would this be acheivable, or is it just a binary Full Access or No Access per user?

    Administrators – Full Access

Members – Access to ‘my account’ page only

    Visitors – No Access

Hmm, you can definitely do Administrators – Full Access, Visitors – No Access

Members – Access to ‘my account’ page only. You can exclude pages in the plugin so if they are a member they would be able to access the MY account url and login. Visitors, would just get the login page. Here’s how the excluding works. http://support.seedprod.com/article/37-exclude-and-include-urls-pattern-examples

Would that work for your situation?

Hi there, i’ve just tried it out. It seems going to /wp-admin/ or /wp-login.php is giving:

    Forbidden
You don’t have permission to access /wp-login.php on this server.

    I’ve excluded the URL’s

    /my-account/

and i’ve set the ‘Access by role’ to administrators only. I’m slightly concerned as i can’t access wp-login.php, i can’t log out as an administrator, and can’t log in on a different computer that isn’t already logged in.

Can you send me your domain to [email protected] and I’ll take a look. We don’t ever block the login URL.
