Hi @bemediaza
I hope you are doing good today.
If Manual Approval is enabled none of the users should be automatically approved. Does the site use any other registrations or membership plugins, which could affect this by its own settings?
Also, could you let us know more about what you mean by:
these the site recently had a user reset
Kind Regards,
Kris
Hi Kris,
Thank you for the reply. By “user reset” I mean all submissions and users registered via the Forminator registration form was deleted.
The only plugin that I think could cause the conflict is the User Role Editor. Could that be it.
Here is a screenshot of what I mean when a user is duplicated. One with a that needs to be authorized and one that is already authorized.

In Addition. A user that trys to register gets this error message when registering: https://www.mf7trainingacademy.co.za/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/user-registration.jpg
They are in the forminator submission list but not on the wordpress user list. They are marked as authorized, but not by the admin. Another case of the authorization happening automatically.
Hi @bemediaza

Could you let us know if the user registration form was inside an Elementor PopUp?
I had a past case on it forcing the form to trigger to Ajax request causing some issues.
About the User registration, this thread may help you https://wordpress.stackexchange.com/questions/160633/how-can-i-un-reserve-a-pending-username-registration
To find why it is happening we would need to run a Full plugin conflict and find which plugin is causing the problem / conflict, for this I suggest a Full Backup or a Staging website, then could you please run a plugin conflict following this workflow: https://wpmudev.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/09/Support-Process-Support-Process.gif
Let us know the result you got and the information about the Form location.

Hi @bemediaza
I hope you are doing well.
I would like to update you that we found a bug and we reported it to our developers, when using the Elementor PopUP and the form is embedded in it the Ajax submission triggers twice and causes the “User already exists” error, to prevent it, please switch the submission method to Page reload.

Hello @bemediaza ,
We haven’t heard from you for some time now, so it looks like the proposed workaround worked for you.
Feel free to re-open this ticket if needed.
Kind regards
