I’m using the user activity plugin and I noticed something strange. I see references to Yoast having updated something, twitter, opengraph etc. I’m not sure if a user is doing this (logged in as me) or if it’s something that the plugin does automatically? I haven’t touched those settings or updated a post that has them.

    Any ideas?

  • Hi,

While we are not familiar with that plugin we can confirm that Yoast outputs OpenGraph Tags and Twitter tags for use with social media sites on your posts and pages. So what the plugin describes Yoast doing is accurate.

Because of this problem i had to uninstall and remove the User activity log plugin. The table is filled by thousands of Yoast records after a few minutes of use.

The only traffic to the site is a form being submitted, so why would that trigger Yoast each time in the log?

If it’s this plugin, User Activity Log, the plugin author explained the Yoast activity here.

If it’s another plugin that track activity, please contact the author or support team for the plugin for information on how their plugin works.

    Closed. No further questions.
