User can still create posts

    I have deselected all checkboxes under Posts, however my users can still create posts. This doesn’t seem to be working, however I’m not sure if I’ve missed any steps. Please advise. Thank you.

    I suppose you write about WordPress built-in posts. Custom post types may have other capabilities.

    Check if user, which you test, has exactly the same role, which you edited. Check that he does not have directly assigned posts capabilities: fine him at users list and click ‘Capabilities’.

    If it’s a multisite WP installation, check that this user does not have a ‘superadmin’ privilege.
