User cannot upload images

    Recently installed WordPress 3.8 on new site http://www.theblackpigsblog.com
    Installed Easy Media Gallery no problem, and very much like it.
    No problem as admin . Now I also add a user to test things out.
    The new user is designated as a ‘contributor’. As a contributor I can’t get it to work , when I try to upload images I get ‘HTTP error,
    Thing is I don’t know whether it is to do with Easy Media Gallery or a setting on the server.
    Please advise.
