@cambridgesource16, I’m not able to recreate this issue with the Contributor role on a fresh install. For diagnosis, does the error still occur if User Role Editor is deactivated? Can you explain:
- How you’ve edited role capabilities
- Any further modification of access which you need URE activated for

Yes the error still happens when I deactivate URE. Only time it works is when I deactivate Revisionary. I don’t have a test for you to investigate.

I just tried it on a new post and it was fine. I am wondering if it was just a one off situation. I am having the client create another mirroring what he did and see if it happens again. He said he would but he won’t be able to do it until tomorrow.
