Thanks for writing here.
It seems like the user has a “PM Manager” role assigned from the profile.
No worries just set a “NO Capability” role from the edit profile page as you can see in the screenshot https://prnt.sc/v0nw1h as described below.
The available permissions described below.
1. No capabilities: Users will be able to access their assigned projects.
2. PM Manager: The user will be able to create/edit/manage all of the projects and access reports.
3. PM Admin: user will access everything of the WP Project Manager.

Ah! Thanks for the hint!
Just a suggestion: It would be great if a manager was only allowed to manage the projects they created and had to be assigned to projects created by others. This would ensure that managers don’t interfere with each other.
