Hi james thanks for reaching out.
Forbyour first question, you should be able to add user fields with acf.
For yiur second issue, there was a problem with the field groups in the new user form when updating to version 2.1. Basically no other field groups show when the default username, email, and password fields are visible. We are fixing this in the next update. Sorry for the inconvenience.
You can use the ACF fields option until this is fixed, if that’s not too much trouble

Thanks for the quick reply. I think I already have it set to acf. I will check.
More importantly, is there any way to allow a user to edit their default user info on front end. Especially their bio, but also user photo, social media links, etc.
Thanks, looking forward to update and pro version.
Hey James, I don’t know how to change the social links or their bio. I’ll look into it and maybe feature in the upcoming pro version. Regarding the user photo, that is set from gravatar. If it’s important for the users to change it from your website, try using a acf image field instead
Hey James, I found the following. For the user bio, create an ACF field with the name ‘description’ and add it to the form.
For first name, first_name. For last name, last_name.
What social links do you have on your profile pages?
