User field size

I have some user fields I would like to fetch and pre-populate some CF7 forms with.
A text field to be populated is prefixed with “user_” and becomes totally 29 chars long and it does not return a value for pre-population; leaves an empty field.
Same for a number field which is to hold an id-label which is 26 chars long (incl user_).
eg. [number test default:user_This_is_a_test_field1]Another test field is 20 chars long and works fine…
Is there a limit to the lenght of text and number fields id-labels – or any other field type for that matter?

Anybody have a clue for the field lenght/size issue for CF7 – is there a limit or any other constraints?
I’m kind of stuck with the long user_meta_keys as they already holds data from a lot of users.Considering another apporach – but, any idea’s of how to safely
1) Create new user_fields with shorter “keys” (but what is “short enough?).
2) Copy existing data to the new fields.
3) Clean up; delete old user_fields and related data.I’m very unfamiliar with touching the SQL database – I just know I can mess things up pretty badly and basically close down a live site?!
Best solution would be to be able to work with “long” keys/labels (32-48-64 chars) in CF7.
